a report has been made of the piracy.

The pirates also took two of the crew and wrote a letter saying they would be released on payment of $25,000 which amount should be paid within 15 days or the two men would be shot.

Yeung Ki-wa, foki on board licensed fishing junk

No. 1498H. A reported at 10 am. 26th. instant that at 4 p.m. 19th. instant whilst fishing with 2 junks off the coast of Ping Hoi, they hauled the nets and both junks lay side by side. Five of the fokis on his Master's junk suddenly seized the junks arms, choppers and attacked the Master, inflicting five wounds with choppers on his

head and arms. They then put the other foki, 7 in all into a hold

and batten them down. They murdered the liaster's wife, aged 42

years, and his son aged 20 years and threw the bodies into the sea.

Afterwards taking possession of $170 in money and some clothing which were in the cabin, they then took charge of the 2 junks and

sailed them to a place near Yeung Kong where they went ashore in

the junk's dinghy. The other 7 fokis got out of the hold and sailed

the junk to Aberdeen.
